Antenatal and early parenting classes

Going to antenatal and early parenting classes is very worthwhile for all patients having their first child. They equip you with vital information, which increases your confidence and helps alleviate any concerns you may have about labour, birth and caring for newborns.

Classes cover:

  • staying healthy during pregnancy
  • what happens in labour and birth
  • different arrangements and options for labour and birth
  • breastfeeding
  • postnatal and early parenting.

The classes are currently on hold because of COVID-19, but we have been notified that they’ll be starting again in July (with appropriate social distancing).

Frances Perry is also offering antenatal breastfeeding classes via Zoom.  These will continue on Zoom until social distancing requirements allow in-person classes to recommence.
