Kym Jansen

Obstetrician/Gynaecologist MBBS, FRANZCOG

Dr Kym Jansen enjoys caring for women throughout their pregnancy whilst also focusing on staying active and healthy, both physically and emotionally. Building a rapport with her patients is extremely important to her.

She works in gynaecology both privately and at The Women's as part of the laparoscopy/ endometriosis unit where her interest is in teaching and mentoring future obstetricians and gynaecologists.

She was previously a director on the board of the Australasian gynaecological Endoscopy and Surgical Society (AGES) and is the current Victorian chair of the training and accreditation committee for the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists (RANZCOG).

Kym makes regular trips to Mongolia in June each year with some of her colleagues to teach laparoscopy in remote places where facilities and resources are limited.

She is married with two adult children and enjoys distance running (having recently completed the New York marathon) and competitive club hockey.
