Great Success Triathlon Pink

Dr Renee Wong competed in Triathlon Pink a few months ago raising awareness and funds for National Breast Cancer Foundation (NBCF).  It was a great season for the organisers as they saw an increase on participants and most importantly a significant jump in funds raised!  Triathlon Pink had a target of $100,000 and the final amount raised was over $160,000.  In her fundraising efforts, Renee raised $4311.36 and was the third highest supporter during the 2015/2016 season.   It was her first triathlon as well so it was a great success all round.   Many thanks to everyone who has donated so far and you can continue to support NBCF by donating here

Edited Message from Triathlon Pink:

A HUGE THANK YOU TO ALL OUR FANTASTIC FUNDRAISERS THIS SEASON!  We are blown away by your hard work – together you have raised just over $160,000 for life changing breast cancer research.

NBCF receives no government funding, and the support of people like you has mea in 2016 we have been able to commit over $12 million to more than 30 research projects that will contribute towards our goal of zero deaths from breast cancer by 2030. This year we have continued to fund innovative projects that investigate new avenues for treatment, and new applications for existing treatments to improve outcomes for breast cancer patients. The researchers will explore promising areas of investigation, some of which include more effective immunotherapies for hard to treat breast cancers, targeted treatment delivery systems, and predictive tests for relapsing cancer.

Thank you all for helping us achieve this amazing outcome and moving us closer to our goal of zero deaths from breast cancer by 2030. See you next year!
